My typical client is a consultancy or service business that is doing well: paying customers, valuable data, steady revenue. What is missing is the tech side. No product, no CTO, no dev team. Hiring a full-time CTO at this stage is expensive and premature. An agency will build something and leave. I work as your part-time CTO instead: I build the product myself, take responsibility for it in the long run, and think about your business like a co-founder would.
No legacy to fight
We build from scratch. No decade-old codebase, no migration project. Your data and your processes are the raw material, and the product is shaped around them.
One person, full stack
Strategy, architecture, code, deployment, documentation. You work with me directly, from the first whiteboard sketch to the running system. No handoffs, no account managers.
Built to hand over
Everything I build is documented well enough that another developer could take it over tomorrow. You own the code, the accounts, and the infrastructure. No lock-in, also not to me.
How it works
First we build. Then I stay on demand.
A few intense weeks at the start. We scope the first version together, then I build it: data foundation, AI systems, interfaces, deployment. At the end you have a working product in production, used by your team. Typically 4 to 10 weeks, depending on scope.
DARK MODE: HEADS-DOWN BUILDING
Once the foundation runs, you rarely need a CTO full-time. I switch to a retainer: I keep your systems running and up to date, we plan what to build next, and new features arrive as focused sprints, on demand. You get CTO-level judgment without the CTO salary.

About Me
Tassilo Weber
Two things have defined my whole career: building tech from scratch, and helping people do the same.
For 15 years I've moved between two worlds. As a founder in the roles of CEO and CTO, I built tech startups across longevity, edtech, and nature fintech, one of which I sold to a NASDAQ biotech company, where I then led the post-merger management. The others I left or they failed. All of them taught me things you can only learn by doing.
In parallel, I worked as a certified Design Thinking coach from the Hasso-Plattner-Institute with DAX corporations, mid-sized companies, startups, and NGOs, helping teams develop tech solutions that centre the people who actually use them.
The role that finally brings both worlds together is the one I work in today: Fractional CTO. I build the entire tech side of a company with my own hands, and I think about it the way a founder does, from business model to architecture. That combination is what my clients hire, and it is what I enjoy most.
